A customer-support team scores three key results at quarter end: response time hits 0.70, satisfaction hits 0.60, and the ticket backlog hits 0.75. Averaging (0.70 + 0.60 + 0.75) ÷ 3 gives roughly 0.68, read as the objective's overall score under standard quarterly OKR scoring conventions.

The formula

LaTeX
SO=i=1nSinS_{O} = \frac{\sum_{i=1}^{n} S_i}{n}

Variables

Objective score (ratio 0–1)
Score of key result i (ratio 0–1)
Number of key results (count)

Averages the individual 0–1.0 scores of each key result to give an overall completion score for the objective they support.
